This 8-1/2″ upper bearing kit is the primary guidance system for the top of a Rotary in-ground lift cylinder. As part of the JG629 assembly, it contains the bearing surface that keeps the plunger centered and aligned as it moves through its stroke. Without a healthy upper bearing, the plunger can experience side-loading, which rapidly destroys the hydraulic seals and leads to costly leaks. SVI’s replacement kit provides a robust housing and high-quality bearing material to restore smooth, vertical travel. Replacing this assembly during routine maintenance can significantly extend the lifespan of your entire hydraulic cylinder.
