Front HQ Series Coilovers for a Controlled, Adjustable Ride
The Ridetech 11283510 front HQ Series coilover set replaces the front shocks and springs on a 1965 to 1970 Chevrolet Impala, Bel Air, Biscayne, or Caprice equipped with Ridetech StrongArms. Part number 11283510 is sold as a matched front pair, so both sides of the car are covered in one purchase. Each coilover pairs a monotube shock with a Hyperco coil spring on a threaded body, so ride height and spring preload are adjustable at each corner. A 24 position rebound adjuster lets you tune damping from a comfortable street setting to a firmer setting for spirited driving. The shock uses a 1.834 inch piston and 5/8 inch shaft for consistent damping control under hard braking and cornering.

FAQ
Will this fit my Impala exactly as listed
This coilover set fits 1965 to 1970 Chevrolet Impala, Bel Air, Biscayne, and Caprice models on the front end, provided the car already has or will receive Ridetech lower StrongArms. It is not designed to bolt to factory lower control arms.
What is included in the box
Each set includes two front HQ Series coilover shocks and two matched Hyperco coil springs, ready to mount once the StrongArms are in place.
What year Impala models does this front coilover cover
This front coilover set covers 1965 through 1970 Chevrolet Impala, Bel Air, Biscayne, and Caprice models built on the GM B-body platform, as long as the car is fitted with Ridetech StrongArms.
Can I adjust the ride height after installation
Yes. The threaded shock body allows you to raise or lower the front ride height and adjust spring preload without removing the coilover.
What does the rebound adjustment do
The 24 position rebound adjuster changes how quickly the shock extends after compressing over a bump, letting you dial in a softer setting for comfort or a firmer setting for handling.
Do I need any special tools to install this
A spanner wrench is needed to turn the threaded spring perch for ride height adjustment. Basic hand tools and a torque wrench cover the rest of the installation.
Can I install this myself or do I need a professional
Many owners install this system themselves with common tools and a lift or jack stands. If you are not comfortable with suspension work, a certified technician is recommended.
Does this come with a warranty
This part is covered by the manufacturer’s standard warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Retain your receipt as proof of purchase.
Will this work with my aftermarket wheels
Most stock diameter aftermarket wheels clear this coilover without issue. If you run very low offset or small diameter wheels, verify clearance before ordering.
